Title:
Flakey Grid w/Cursor Control Source
Using VFP5 I have created two grids on a form, both of which use a Control Source of two cursors, one each. As the user enters in a number the select command is activated and the first grid fills in header records. The second grid's Select command (which I am running from the thisform.refresh method identifies the header record key values and then pulls the detail records via another select command into a specifically named cursor.) After each select process I use the grid.controlsource = "cursor name" and then set the columns control source = "cursor.fieldname". The strategy works flawlessly for the first grid, but the second one is very flaky even though it appears that I set it up exactly the same way, but just based on different fields and a different cursor. The bottom-line problem is that when I do my first form refresh all the columns in the second grid are resized smaller and the headers change to the actual field names in the corresponding cursor, thus overwriting the more readable header I set up through the properties display. This effect does not happend in my first grid and all the settings that I can see are set similarly between the two grids. Any help would be appreciated.
