>If SET PRINTER FONT doesn't work in this case, you could create a file with the necessary PCL (printer control language) commands in it, then either send that file before sending your pfile or prepend that file to your pfile and send it in one step. If your printer's user manual doesn't have the necessary escape code sequences (PCL commands), get a copy of the HP PCL 5 Printer Language Technical Reference Manual. It's a good investment IMHO.

more complicated than I thought. What if the users are using all HP's but different varieties of deskjets, laserjets, etc?
