I was hoping that this was changed in 6.0, but I guess I can live with it. I don't plan any need for the users to enter a null value, but you code sound good -- why don't you upload to files section Under "Working Around Irratating VFP Behavior" so all can use it. (I probably should have defaulted to .f. -- not allow nulls -- but it is a client server app with Oracle and since I was having an issue with non-null, but empty dates, I said, heck, let's make everything except nulls!)
