Hmm. I can't get to the TABLEUPDATE() part. When I issue the INSERT INTO TABLEA FROM MEMVAR, I still get the error message that the field does not accept nulls. You mentioned ODBC. Is this a backend server you're inserting into, or a local table? My testing has been done only on a local table. Otherwise, I'd say that you need to go and upgrade to SP3 ASAP.< g >
