>I'm not sure I agree that the gap will widen. VFP is getting more attention now that ever. The VFP team at Microsoft is bigger than it has been in a long time, and with it's inclusion in Visual Studio, is getting people to really look at it.

You're making a future projection base on relatively recent marketing activities from MS in regards to VFP. Of course, my personal projection is only based on observation of hiring trends in the last few years in the L.A. area. Regardless, I hope you're right although, I still hold the opinion any closing of the gap will be temporary at best.

>Another thing I just thought of...how did the "survey" base it's findings in VFP salaries? Are there numbers to back them up?

Yes I would also like to know the "how" but I couldn't find any reference to it. I'm sure they have some survey numbers.

>Remember that it is coming from a VB magazine, who would have a definate interest in more people using VB.

Although I do agree the source of the survey maybe biased, I think there's absence of malice. Any developer switching a tool based on an article in a magazine deserves his/her fate.

>Absolutely gorgeous....except for the occassional tornado every 150 years.

Well, I'll take tornado every 150 years over an earthquake every few months anytime! My next "real" vacation stop, SLC here I come!
It's "my" world. You're just living in it.
