In your error routine, you could attempt to trap the error and try to get an exclusive hold on the table in question. But it will probably be difficult and almost impossible to do. The thing to do is to find out why the tables are being corrupted in the first place.
(1) Check to see if users are turning their power off in the middle of your program. (2) See if the errors are occuring during a power surge (get a UPS). (3) Check the network cards in the machines, etc, etc.
