Jane,

OK, here is what we do...

Run the setup wizard include the executable (I just use the real one) and any other components (like flls or ocx's) the the real program needs and tell the wizard where to put them. Do not include the database or any tables. The media type should be netsetup and optionally floppies. Specify where on the local drive you want it installed. The setup program creates a setup folder under the folder you specify for the unistall files. All of the files needed will be installed and you can put the exe and data files where ever you like as long as your program can find the data.

Good Luck!

>I have more questions. What do I put into my dummy exe? If I install the dummy application on the workstations, do I just install the exe & the data on the server or do I need an install that also puts the library files on the network? Does it matter what the name of the directory is on the workstation or is it the updating of the registry that's important? If I create another application for this client, can I then just install the exe & data on the server?
