I had to create custom report (physician's notes on a special paper), that should be printed on a dot-matrix printer. This report is called from a vendor's application. I've created it on my local station, using 'custom' printer format. Applicatioin is running on a network, so every user specified which printer to be used. The report is set on every local user's directory. Every station has the same setting for the dot-matrix printer as Generic-Text only. If this report(like others, that I've created) used 'standard' printer formats it won't be a problem at all. Just open local copy of *.frx file as a table and empty memo fileds TAG, TAG2 of the first record. After that no conflicts. The reports are printed out, but this one has 'custom' format, and memo field EXPR has different setting. If I empty EXPR field the data of the report layout are truncated, otherwise it does not print at all, without any worning messages. But from the station, where I've created this report, it still printing well, even I've emptied fields TAG, TAG2 of the first record of *.frx table.
I know that it could be fixed programmaticaly, but we don't have the
source code of the application, and may be there is another solution, then writting a function of this printer setting and point to it in *.INI file?
Any idea?
Thanks,
Liza
