The problem is not with either product ... but with the reality that both
are good are very different things.

SQL is very good at doing all the work out the back ... try doing a complex table join with grouping and sum statements. SQL will win out all the time
as it suffers no bottle neck moving data round the network. All it transmits is a result set.

VFP on the other hand is great a finding records fast. IMHO if all you want
is fast record access and no complex reporting then use VFP ... it rocks as we all know <g>

But dont expect it to come up shining when someone says OLAP ...
