The only time I've seen this happen is with a corrupted table header. If the record count is bad, VFP simply overwrites the last record in the table rather than adding a new one. Thus, only the last record the user entered appears to be there. The interesting thing is that TABLEUPDATE() returns .T. so it looked like it succeeded.
