Thanks. Actually, I had already tried that to no avail. Even tried firing the programmatic change...for naught. As I told Nancy, a simplified test version of my form works, so clearly, I'm doing something strange in the real one.

I think I'm going to just have to keep backing out code that seems related until I find it. One thing I am doing in the real one that may not be kosher is calling the click of the commandbutton from the init of the form. Not sure if this is OK or not.

Should there be a problem with calling the click of a control from the init of its container?
