Now, for my ulterior motive for asking how you did this. I followed your steps then went to the Registry to
export that particular registry key only. You can then use Notepad to edit this REG export file to see what is in it [use the right-click to edit]. If you do the same, all you have to do is double-click on the exported registry file to install this on a user's machine.
In Win95 this key is found at:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\control\Print\Printers\Generic / Text Only
Of course, the easiest way would be to use a Registry class to check to see if this entry exists. If not, use the registry class to add it.
Rick Strahl has a free registry class for VFP or you could try to use the registry class that comes with VFP 6 [if you are using this version of VFP]. I use Rick's, and it is easy to use.
