After some testing today, I indeed did find some undeclarable differenct between the seek and locate command. When a table grows larger the difference between whe locate and the seek command also increases.

However, the differences between the two commands is much smaller when:
- Random keys are located (with either seek or locate) repeatedly.
- The query is tun for the first time and nothing about the table or index is cached.
