MESSAGE(2) ? Not MESSAGE(1)???

At first I thought this rang a bell and looked it up in Hackers Guide. Knowing you you've probably already checked that, but there seems to be a similar observation about the inconsistent behavior of MESSAGE(1). < g > Not that it helps much, just thought I'd pass the "yeah it's inconsistent" message along.
