I thought the Los Angeles school board was the worst one in the U.S. It appears that all these high ranking educators think that they have these ideas to revolutionize eductation. Of course its typically a selfish motive in that they are trying to push their own agenda. In Los Angeles there's been at least one case of someone trying to push their own method of teaching mathematics. Of course it required buying textbooks he had written.
