It was not banned, but removen from the state curriculum requirements. This just means that it is left up to the individual schools/teachers ohw much (if any) evolution they want to teach. Nonetheless ridiculous. When I first heard this on the news, I though it might be a joke. WHen I realized that there really were people that stupid running things in some parts of the country, I nearly wept. Well, ok, I didn't cry, but I was pretty sad.
