Yes, I have the code working in an .exe right now.

It sounds like the culprit is the disabled paste menu command. If your forms are truely modeless, I don't know why this would be disabled....

My forms are not modal and I can cut and paste text from the forms just fine. From what I can tell during debugging the paste command on the Edit menu is disabled. The paste works if I do everything from the command window. Have you used this method in an EXE? In the 3.0 version I made a call to the Windows PeekMessage function to replace the DOEVENTS.
