Actually there will be as much code needed to create a fully functional display/search/add/edit/delete screen with Oracle/Sybase/MSSQL back-end in VFP as it will in VB. VB uses 4 widely known methods of accessing external databases and behaves fairly well (with not so many bugs) with any of the servers. VFP with its DataEnvironment gets confused too often and debugging VFP version of this simple form will probably take several times longer because there WILL be hidden issues...
