No neutral gender in french. Everything is either male or female. For example, in english, it doesn't mather what sex a dog is (a dog). In french, we do differenciate: une chienne (a female dog), un chien (a male dog).
>I hear that! We still have implied genders, though (ships are feminine, for example). As to French, which I don't know, there's no neuter gender for articles? In Spanish there is.
