The last developer days I went to it was to show off MS new demo of 3 tier. Most of the work was done with VB. It didn't even make sense to me because the demo'er had to emphasize that VB was used only to transport the data. Not actually do any massaging as it would slow the system down so much.
They didn't even mention that if you replaced VB with VFP you might actually be able to do stuff that would speed up the system.
