I've been using dual monitors ever since Win98 came out. I've got two 17" monitors running in 1024x768. VFP5 didn't like it, so I had to stick to using just one monitor while developing in 5, but with VFP6, I haven't had any real problems, and already, I can't live without both monitors. I expand the main Foxpro window to fill both screens, and then I can position my code, properties, and form windows anywhere I want. What's also great is that it works in runtime too. I just wrote an app that has a sizeable form with a grid on it. I can expand the grid across both monitors to see every column. The only glitch I've seen is with context menus and some dropdown menus. Instead of opening up on the secondary monitor, which is on my right, the menus open up at the right edge of the primary window, but that's a small price to pay. I say go for it. You won't be disappointed.

>Is anyone using a dual monitor set up for development in VFP? I wondered whether you can show the form under development on one montior and the properties and toolbars/palettes on the other monitor so you could see the whole form during the design. The other alternative is to buy a bigger montior.
