You speak of the needs of learning English and all the rules. My experience is that English, which is essentially my only language with the exception of a smattering of Spanish, is FULL of exceptions. "This or that is true unless something else, then the other takes place."
I wonder if that's why we have so much success with English-based programming languages... They all seem to be exception-based. *G*
