Hmm.. I'm not that technically 'into' the Winsock stuff. As Rick said, no events and I'm wondering whether or not that might be a problem since Winsock needs to be able to react in such a fashion that it needs event-driven stuff.
I do know that Winsock stuff can be nasty. CompuServe has their own version and that has caused much grief to a project I was on a while back.
I was thinking more along the lines that you wanted to use DBFs or SQl or email or something like that.
Perhaps one of the API folks will step up.
