>I have a situation where there are some files created that have a leading space, eg. " JUNK.DBF". Is there a way to delete this file programmaticly using VFP5? Delete file, !del, and RENAME seem to have no affect. I am able to delete them with Explorer but I don't want the user to have to deal with it.

According to my DOS exp, the Empty Character is CHR(255)

In Window 3.1, at DOS, if you create a directory with this character ending,
e.g. type at C:\

md [Press "Alt" don't release]255[Release Alt] [Enter]

you can see there is a empty directory! [ ]

This directory Can't be visit in Windows 3.1!!
if you click on this directory, it will move away!

But What ppl here suggest you is to print the ascii # of the first character
by using GETFILE()

If it is really a "Space" character, you need to first move away all the dbf
file to other directory and try Ren to change name...

~_~ it may possible a space character as BO give a " .exe" in System
directory!

Now, talking BO is quite out! Because the newest Bo2k has come!
It can also remote Control Win NT System!
The functionality of bo2k is more powerful than PCAnywhere or other remote
control software!! WoW'
e.g. You can get all Dial-up Username/Passwd if Victim PC select Save Passwd
option in windows!

For more details on Bo2k, visit http://www.bo2k.com/

;p I've got valid 2 dial-up accounts by Bo2k already!
