Of course not. But we could wish that the gaurantee I mentioned wasn't true.

When's the last time you worked on somebody's dBase III code? There were just so many million lines of cobol around, they haven't been replaced, which makes for an interesting new year.

We'll. There are lots of VFP lines of code around, so it could be a happy millineum even if VB becomes the tool of choice for new starts. Plenty of work to keep you fat 'n happy til you retire. By that time, they may have figured out a way to help you live forever and chances are, they'll need you in 3000 for the same reason we need those COBOL dinosaurs now.

It all seems very rosy to me. (g)
