>I tried to use the VFP6 Setup wizard to create a web-site based self-extracting executable file for application distribution purposes.

>According to MSDN Library Documentation, the Setup wizard in VFP6 is capable of doing this. Following is the related paragraph (verbatim) from the MSDN Library: “If you specify a name in the Program Group box, the setup program will create a program group for your application when the user installs it, and will make the application available on the user's Start menu.”
>However, when I ran the setup file created by setup wizard, it DID NOT create the program group as expected. Does anyone know where the problem is?

I don't know how similar the VFP6 Setup Wizard is to that of VFP5, but in the latter there is a page that lists the files to be included in the distribution. Against each file is a check box for "Start Menu Item". Only those file(s) that are checked will be set up in the Start Menu in their own group.

This is useful for setting up .HLP or README.TXT files as Start Menu items so they can be started independently of the app (just as an example).
