>I tried to use the VFP6 Setup wizard to create a web-site based self-extracting executable file for application distribution purposes.
>I had expected the setup to create a program group and put the application into that program group so that, after the setup, the user could run the application from the Start Menu.
>According to MSDN Library Documentation, the Setup wizard in VFP6 is capable of doing this. Following is the related paragraph (verbatim) from the MSDN Library: “If you specify a name in the Program Group box, the setup program will create a program group for your application when the user installs it, and will make the application available on the user's Start menu.”
>However, when I ran the setup file created by setup wizard, it DID NOT create the program group as expected. Does anyone know where the problem is?

You have to tell Setup Wizard which program to create the shortcut for when you create your distribution disk set. In step 6,Change File Settings, place a check mark in the PM Item column for the executable(s) that you want to have Setup Wizard create shortcuts for during installation.
