Yes, I was aware of that, but in my opinion it couldn't be the only explanation for so big difference between fetching time. However, I got some valuable hints and the reason seemed to be, that I hadn't indexed my underlaying table according the fields I used in the 'Where'-part of my view-definition.

In our SQL-Server development we are moving towards that kind of solution, but at this moment they doesn't help, because we don't want to use ODBC in our native VFP-database. On the other side, I have understood that their effectiveness is based mainly on the performance of back-end database engine and in pure VFP-implementation that part is missing totally.
