Hi Marcus.

I use both. Although the Registry is the *in* way to do things, and I use it for lots of stuff, settings that need to be customized at a user site (especially if they may be volatile, like drive mappings or file directories) are easier to handle in an INI file. This is mainly because you can easily step a user over the phone through editing the INI file using Notepad whereas teaching them how to use REGEDIT (if their system policies even allow them to do that) is not so easy.
