Thanx for the reply, Emmanuel. Usually I try to use native VFP wherever possible, as for our internal use LAN/WAN applications, it minimizes workstation custom tweaks and dependence on other groups to get stuff done. As far as Active-X in general, I am reluctant to trust too much as I have heard too many stories of version problems between different installed programs that whack out previous installed usages. Also, in this particular case, I like that any printer changes are just effective for the VFP session, and that users aren't changing their normal default printer and then get annoyed with me when then next Word doc they print goes to the 'wrong' place... If I need more help on Active-X in the future/outside applications, I'll be in touch.

Thanx.

Rob
