What I'm going to do is to record the current field in the GotFocus event. This shouldn't be as bad as I first feared as, luckily, we subclassed all the objects and used the subclasses on the form, so I should only need to amend the GotFocus handlers in the subclasses. I'll have to do the grids manually and also change any existing GotFocus handlers to call the subclass ones.
