My company publishes a vertical market software program
written in FoxPro 2.6 for Windows. We use the report designer
to create reports based on database queries. The program uses
REPORT FORM...PREVIEW statements to display the reports on the
screen.
We have a customer who complains that his screen reports are
all black. This problem started happening after he installed
an update to our software. The update does not cause this
problem on other systems, however. The customer is using a
laptop computer (brand unknown). He says the problem occurs
with all the reports when printed to the screen. The reports
print correctly when sent to a printer. The rest of the
program works OK, and he doesn't have problems with other
applications. The customer has a couple of printers installed
and the problem occurs regardless of which printed is selected
as the default.
What could be causing this problem? Is it a problem with the
display, printer driver, or application?
