We have a complicated bill printing report form that works well to printer. Recently a client asked us to output the same reports to an ASCII file for interfacing to another vendor.

Problem is no matter how we print to file, the output will not fit in a standard 8 1/2 x 11 output and insists on word wrapping in all editors. Any ideas how to print to a file and retain formatting.

Yes - we are using proportional fonts.
