i am using a combobox control on two different forms and getting different data types for the value property. the property sheets for both controls are the same. here are some details...

the combobox has a rowsource of an array
the array is 3 columns
the combobox is bound to column 2 of the array which has integer values

on one form the combobox.value is numeric
on the second for the combobox.value is character

after getting it working on one form (the one with a numeric value) i cut and pasted to the second form.

any ideas?
