This looks like one of the older ComTools files.

There is an updated version available from HALLoGRAM. See the link at the top of this UniversalThread page. We are using the Visual FoxPro version with VFP 5.0 and 5.0a to read an electronic scale through the serial port and it works fine.

If you want sample code, please let me know!
