I've been playing around with text analysis and have built these couple of routines. One fills a few tables with the words and fours of words. The other runs through these tables sort of random and generates text. This time I've used UT messages as source text, and here's what I got. Note that any four consecutive words have appeared somewhere in some message at least once. The statistical probabilities of any four (or initial word of the paragraph) are respected.

Have fun.

VFP command window, and quite surprisedly noticed that VFP accepts hex numbers written as constants within a command, in ordinary 0xhhhhhhhh (no longer, no shorter) notation, but there's no way you can anticipate ALL the happy things that networks can/will do to your system (remembering some of the updates get done and not all of them are set to the view would "see" the stored procedures. I'd maybe add to Bret's method just a couple of HEX bytes. An article in Dr Dobbs Journal a few years ago. That is improvement. Are there things I would like the spinner arrow controls to be the rule.

When I look at the activeX web-site... http://www.activex.c

Some frameworks are more than two terminating conditions for the loop. Maybe I've lived a sheltered life :-). With two terminators, I've tacked on the an OR in the DO WHILE. I think that I can seemlessly switch from one datasource to another, 'on the fly' is change to the path of an ODBC datasource in this way and keeping no watchdogs is the least effective security.

Yes,

To the user the choice of printers. The code snippet I use in the command window popping up each time! The application has to go to all members of the NTGATEWAY group of the domain) via the server have to handle setting deleted on in the form's load--before the table is large ... it slows the server down too much. You will most definitely find VFP faster when sort (as long as you design it right. If properly designed the tiers can be

When there's no record in view, grid goes blank, so do textboxes. That's just fine. BUT when I append record, (it works) grid is refreshed with a requery after the table update, the last updated child record is not visible. I can DEACTIVATE the menu again at that

Any ideas? Thanks

The original thought was to print out he report and then scan it but there is no link between the OS and the browser. Now they appear to be a player in the future.....it's just going to take it away from you.

In User Service :-) Simon
If you are your AT commands between portopen and portclose are not executing it is most likely a timing issue. That is, one command is executing at the speed of your modem while the speedy VFP and your computer is already sending the next few so they don't have a single PC in their company (they came off of a Mini system with dumb terminals and liked the concept of Winframe).

VFP can quit. This can be as large as 2 Gb and command line 8192 bytes. Virtually this means you don't know what happened. I shoulda tried it before cutting and pasting :-(.

I've even seen mFoxPlus still running. Therefore, if VFP loses future - well, we've made good friends here, and we had lots of trouble in Spanish-speaking countries that DOS doesn't mean two.

VFP is written in C++ (I'm fairly sure) then the developers of Foxpro probably don't care where the variable values are. VFP variables are loosely typed, so that typing info is no doubt stored in VFP structures.

VFP and it was fine. So it should work with ..reg file, too. >I use back-translation: I replace cyrillic letters with latin >equivalents in form captions and wait windows's. Looks nice. Your language also has both cyrillic and latinic versions of the control to the object when it is needed; but using the new MS Toolbar 6.0 Active X control instead of adding logic to the form's ResizeControl method to figure out "what makes it tick". Whevever I've done this, the result has been that I took longer to my head into the same gear as the original developer than it might have taken me to do it this way, I pretty sure that it will remove the association? After all, I may want to look at www.surplusdirect.co This is one of three: VFP, VB, IE. Why did I choose VFP is as the followings,

MS ever recommend VB developers use VFP? No.

I wanted. It is interesting to note that the datasource (the field) received the new value is send in fact to the func/proc/method. I cannot prove this thing, so... :) But this is questionable and probably everyone will find pros and cons, etc.

VFP programmers but there was not enough space on a form behind the grid.
We have had very good success with running VFP apps over Citrix Winframe. Maybe I can help a little.

Visual C++? It can help you to get it working in SQL Server to do the specifics

Needed here because the form is released without having to release them individually. I poked around for some time, and it's been slowly waring me down until I've reached the point where I've got to take care off. I'll work it out tomorrow, had enough for today :) (still on vacation)

Ken Levy has done some testing and sure enough, when my 2.6 batch routine is running APPEND FROM... TYPE DELI and feeding in a textfile with 100,000+ lines, this Extended Wait State error gets logged. Not always, but 6 out of 15 tests gave error. I recompiled the code in the AfterRowColChange Event of Grid1:

OOP as me, yadda, yadda, yadda. In fact, I think most programmers would rather write code than read code. It's just more fun! But this is not the same thing but requires a bit more complex.

It is a sleeping process that wakes up when an http request comes to it (via a TCP/IP message) parses out the file name and then use that name to register your servers. This will avoid the problems.

VFP only simulate this by loading mulitple areas in memory with

If you use TCP/IP, the clients and server(s) can be anywhere on the screen. Does anyone have a diferent aproach to handle this situation?

VFP to Oracle. DB2 is IBM's relational database management system. To my knowledge, DB2 does not have that property. Any ideas on how I can prevent users from changing the state of the VFP API function which is encapsulated in Foxtools) works like the rest of them fall to the background.

worked very well and I was careful to include all the files (DLL's, etc.) that Crystal needs. The problem is HPGL viewers are not always faster than our Pentium 150's. But I'd much rather blame Microsoft than Intel. The files are on a Novell version 4 server. The app ran fine until the users got new 333Mhz computers (Win 95 workstations), at which time they began to experience problems running the fox app. If they re-boot and go straight in, there is no menu bar and no toolbar so the user could enter at 0.25 sec at max speed, much slower than doing it programmatically).

It can emulate SQL Server so you can use existing tools and frameworks whcih is basically plug and play.

MS is doing to the computing world in general. They've done some good things, but they are free (after filling out an on-line registration form).

Any other ideas of how to do that?
