I have subclassed the dataenvironment and cursor classes to be smarter. All of my forms are instanciated as classes and therefore do not have a built in dataenvironment. My dataenvironment handles on the fly switching between client server,local views and local tables. My cursor objects have view parameter objects to protect the view parameters from being sort of global as well as have new, delete, and save methods.

>when I say you can't, I mean through the normal VFP channels, if you think it was done the prg -> vcx route, Tom Rettig wrote a utility called "TRUE" (Tom Rettig Utility Extensions" ) which did this among other things, I'm sure someone else on this site could point you to that
