The "save as HTML" option available in the report designer is a hook to the rather weak GenHTML program that ships with VFP. GenHTML uses the TO ASCII clause that gets a textual output by attempting to render the (TEXT ONLY) report using the current printer driver on the machine. IOW, it loses all formatting and graphics, and sometimes, even truncates important data. I don't consider this a real option, even if I do need only text.
