Mike, The parentclass shows as none, yet it DID pick up several properties from the _form class in _base. It did not, however, pick them all up, including lIgnoreError and a couple of others. Checked _form, and lIgnoreError is Public, not hidden or protected, same as all the other properties which were added to that form (over and above the properties in the Form class). I'm still missing something here. Any other thoughts? Why would it pick up some properties but not others? The method that calls lIgnoreerrors is obviously being inherited, hence the error. The code calling lIgnoreerror does not show on myForm, but is apparently part of the inherited default behavior. This is frustrating: thought I had some idea how inheritance worked. Guess that shows how wrong I can be. Thanks again.
