Hi,
There are a couple of things here:
1, Export from VFP to Excel: type XL5 or XLS are only conform to the old version of Excel with limitation of 16K rows per sheet. If you have Excel 97 or later which can handle "65,536 rows by 256 columns", you can export to a CSV file witch is SDF in VFP. Then 64K is your limit now.
2, If that 64K is still too limiting for your application, I would keep data in DBF then access it through ODBC in EXCEL by "Data - Get External Data ...". Then you will be able selectively working with subsets of your data. (64K rows limitation still exists in EXCEL.) This is a more elegant way of breaking the data.
Hope this helps.
