Rob,

>After reading old threads I've decided to use crystal reports to create a report that will be e-mailed. But I'm having a real problem with Crystal Reports (ver 7) because it doesn't have any auto-aligning that I can find. I need the report to have labels inside of boxes that are back colored grey. The data from my dbf will be surrounded by a box next to the label box. No matter what I try, these boxes will not align. The second bocx is always one pixal higher or lower. I can't get it to work using lines or the border settings either. I created this report in about 1 hour in VFP.

I too, had some difficulties aligning lines and textboxes. I sure like the VFP approach a lot more than of CR. Textboxes can be aligned with the tabs on the horizontal and vertical rulers.

For lines and boxes this don't work. You can manually set the X an Y positions by rightclicking the object and choose object size and position.

You can also set off grid alignment and move the object with the arrow keys.

When using boxes, be sure that the borderlines are the same color and the same thickness.
