I believe that your problem is one of compatiability. I found that I get error on import command if I am using an EXCEL 5.0 or higher in Visual Foxpro 5.0. If my spreadsheet is at least 4.0 my imports will be just fine. Also to get your spreedsheet to 4.0 version from a higher version just do as SAVE AS in Excel and then select the 4.0 version.
