Anybody with any experience in multi-media authoring tools?

We're looking to create a demo/instruction/tutorial CD on our VFP application, and want to do something very much like the instructional stuff you see on CDs like the Microsoft 'Mastering...' series.

I've looked at Authorware, although it appears a bit daunting.
