>>>I am writing my first report that uses currency. I set the property for a field to sum and currency but am getting 4 decimal places ($55.0000).. I checked the OPTIONS - REGIONAL and I have that set for decimal places 2. The format is set for @$ which was put in via the format builder option when I picked currency.

There are other considerations besides display when using the currency data type. Check out the NTOM and MTON functions in VFP Help, you may need to use these to control the accuracy of calculations involving currency fields.
