Thanks. Yup, I think that being able to test the client-side part of apps is a very compelling reason to have a network. In order to get this one by the spouse I'm going to have to start small on the server though. But at least she does understand the need to learn internet technologies in this day and age.

Keep in mind that I'm building a server, just in case one of these vendors calls you with a deal at an inopportune time. I just might be available to take advantage.
