The grids we use are searchgrids and there is an Index On for any columns that we allow the user to click in the grid to order the grid by Customer nbr, or name or City or State or whatever.

Are you saying that if we do an Insert into instead of an append blank, we'd always get the record at the end? See my reply to myself about the exact circumstances when the record is at 1st or at last.
