I usually check this mysely by going to a record where I think I know what the result would be and enter a command similar to the one in the filter command such as this.

You will have to provide some more code for any of us to figure out your problem. Both the browse command and the filter would be nice <g> Also, try to avoid using SET FILTER and grids.
