In his concise and informative article on data buffering, John Koziol mentions that there are problems applying Flock() while also running Transactions. I searched and can't find anything on this. Is this still a problem? Did it go away in 6.0? What problems does it cause?

I sometimes use Flock() when running some batch processing to speed it up. Many of the methods I call use transactions.
