Hmmm...perhaps the secret of my success is that I'm using version 5 of the activex bar, even in vfp6. Try that, and see if you get same problem. I've had trouble with one or two other version 6 activex controls, too...

You should be able to drop the activex right into a vfp toolbar with no complaints. If statusbar v.6 fails try 5, that will definitely work (no formset is needed), or else there's something else you're doing wrong.
