Whoops -- guess I wasn't clear in my first post: I don't want to completely "comment out" the quotes, just replace them so they don't muck up the SQL syntax.

From working a lot with SQL Server and Access, I was under the impression that a single quote can be replaced by two single quotes, but that doesn't seem to be working here.
